I’m passionate about what I do. I don’t use that word loosely. Passion is something that consumes people and creates an experience for others that take them beyond what they were expecting to higher level.
So I’m passionate about what I do; whether that is working in real estate or out riding my bike or climbing another mountain.
I’ve been selling all my life. It was never the product that the people remembered, rather it is the experience that my customers were given that made the impression and made them come back again and again as repeat customers.
I entered real estate with a formidable database; a list of all my customers from a past life that I had given valuable service to in my previous business. I worked at my database, contacting people, improving the list, adding more and removing some when they no longer needed my unique services.
Today I have an even more formidable database than 22 years ago. It is not gigantic; rather it is select. It is not a list of names and addresses. No, it’s a list of past clients, friends and customers. It is also my future business.
I write to them regularly, I phone them and I send them information that they want. I don’t sell anything to them nor do I ask any favours from them.
When they want something, they call me and that‘s where my business comes from.
I deal extensively with people who want to sell their real estate. This is challenging work and I enjoy it immensely. I work closely with my vendors to achieve the best price available and under the best conditions available in the present market. I nurture and explain, support and advise until my vendor is able to make the right decision for themselves to sell their property.
With me, it’s all about them; it is their property and their decision. If I present my vendor with opportunities in a knowledgeable environment, then they can make good decisions for themselves.
That’s the enjoyment I get from being in real estate.
It is called TRUST. My clients call me to do something for them that they cannot do themselves and in the process, experience something more than they were expecting.
And in doing so, we all win.
