What is a korowai?
A korowai is a symbol of honor and prestige, intricately woven with feathers. It represents the stories, connections, and diversity within our community. Through this project, we aim to weave together the unique perspectives and talents of our community members, creating a korowai that truly embodies the essence of Arrowtown.

How can you participate? It’s simple!

On the eve of Matariki, we will unveil the completed community korowai. This awe-inspiring artwork will be prominently displayed on the office wall at Ray White Arrowtown, serving as a testament to the talent and diversity of our community. It will be a visual representation of our shared heritage and a lasting legacy for future generations.

Following the Matariki celebration, the community korowai will remain on display at Ray White Arrowtown for the month following Matariki. This extended exhibition period allows everyone in the community, as well as visitors, to marvel at the collaborative masterpiece and be inspired by the creativity and unity it represents.
